Bank offers on Amazon and Flipkart, explained
During sales, stores add an extra discount, often 10%, for certain bank cards. It can save a lot on big purchases, if you know the conditions.
The usual conditions
- Instant discount vs cashback: an instant discount comes off at checkout; cashback is credited later.
- Minimum order value: the cart must be above a set amount.
- Maximum discount: each offer has a cap, so 10% off ₹1,00,000 may be capped much lower.
- Card type: some offers are for credit cards only, some for EMI only.
Getting the most
- Check the offer on the product page before you pay; it's applied automatically at checkout when eligible.
- Stack it with a price drop or coupon where allowed.
